UPDATE: All field trips through April 30 have been cancelled or postponed. All currently registered participants are being emailed with refund or postponement options.

Dear Indiana Audubon members,

Like every organization, business, and agency that organizes events, we’ve all been faced with how to take the appropriate measures and response with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) on our various operations and activities.

After consultation with our various partnering agencies and organizations Indiana Audubon (IAS) is cancelling all field trips through March 31.  From there, IAS will evaluate the current status and issue cancellations on a week to week basis each Monday.

At the current moment, we are planning to hold the Indiana Dunes Birding Festival.  We will continue to monitor state and federal directives and plan to make decisions as updated information becomes available.  IAS has set a final decision date of April 3 for the Indiana Dunes Birding Festival.

Additionally, Indiana Audubon will be waiving all cancellation fees for the next 30 days for anyone wishing to cancel a trip or event registration.

Indiana Audubon is taking our members health and safety first.  We are closely monitoring the situation and should changes occur we will do everything in our power to communicate it immediately and transparently.

Sincerely,
Brad Bumgardner
