Indiana Audubon members now have first access to the Indiana Dunes Birding Festival. Early registration opened at 10:00 a.m. CT on March 1, with the general public following on March 3, so members get first pick of limited-seat field trips and workshops.
The festival runs May 14–17, with a pre-festival day on May 13. Saturday’s keynote will be delivered by Dr. Francie Cuthbert, leader of the Great Lakes Piping Plover program. Headliners also include Dr. Sam Ivande, Juan Diego Vargas, Freya McGregor, and Matt Williams.
With over 195 events and activities, from predawn field trips to afternoon presentations and family activities, there is something for everyone. The festival is going paperless this year, with an attendee app arriving in April. Ticketed highlights include the Saturday keynote dinner, Birds & Brews, Thursday trivia, and hands-on workshops.
Register now at www.indunesbirdingfestival.com. Online registration closes May 1. Questions? Email [email protected] or call 765-205-1255.
