We’re launching our first Holiday Book Sale, and our shelves are stacked with one hundred gently used bird and nature books looking for new homes. The sale runs from Nov. 17 at 12 a.m. through Dec. 15 at 12 p.m., giving all of us a good stretch of time to hunt for winter reading or solve gift giving for the bird and nature lovers in our lives. Yes, treating yourself counts.
We curated the sale with the same spirit that makes birders flock to the big-name book sales each year. Our collection feels like a behind-the-scenes peek at our own bookshelves. The Sibley standbys. The Peterson greats. The warbler wisdom we all swear we’ll memorize someday. Shorebirds, seabirds, raptors, cranes, nests, migration, oddball vintage treasures, and a few well-traveled guides that clearly earned their keep in the field. It’s a lineup built for the bird-loving book nerd in all of us.
Shipping is through USPS Media Mail, and flat-rate pricing keeps it easy. Five dollars for 1 to 2 books, eight dollars for 3 to 5, and ten dollars for 6 or more. Delivery usually arrives within 7 to 10 business days, with holiday shipping potentially adding a little extra time.
When you shop the book sale, you’re helping us accomplish our statewide mission. Your purchase expands our education programs, strengthens conservation across Indiana, and builds the capacity we need to protect the birds we all care about. You get the book. The birds get the benefit. We call that a win.
Take a look at everything waiting for you at birdbooks25.givesmart.com. We think you’ll find something worth claiming!
