Last week, Indiana Audubon members were fortunate to help dedicate a new interpretive sign located at Parque Nacional Volcan Arenal in Costa Rica, alongside Juan Diego Vargas from Lifer Nature Tours. Funds came from both our tour participants and our Mumford & Keller Grants and Scholarship Program.

The beautiful new interpretive sign welcomes visitors and educates them on two important motmot species and the current research to document hybridization between them.

We felt the need for education in the Costa Rica national park system was worth reaching out to you to help fund a second sign in the national park at the head of the antiptta trail. Birds truly unite everyone, all over the world!

Please visit https://www.gofundme.com/arenal-interpretive-sign if you’d like to help us educate more visitors to this wonderful park in a wonderful country.

You can also join us for our next Costa Rica birding adventure this October. More info on this trip here.
