BY KENTON WOODEN

On behalf of the Falls of the Ohio Foundation, please allow me to share my sincere gratitude for the generous grant of $2,500 from the Indiana Audubon Mumford and Keller Grants and Scholarship Program, awarded in September of 2023.

Your support enabled us to install bird collision deterrent film on the windows of the bird garden located on the exterior perimeter of the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center. The timing of your generous grant could not have been better as the Interpretive Center was temporarily closed for an extensive HVAC update. Our contracted vendor was able to install the bird safety film alongside another window project, avoiding multiple disruptions to the birds utilizing the garden space.

Over the course of the last year, we were also able to refresh the bird garden with new perennial plants, feeders, mulch, rock, and an upgraded water feature. We are proud to have this enhanced, safer space available for the birds of our local ecosystem and for the visitors who come to the Falls of the Ohio Interpretive Center.

Thank you to the all those involved in the Mumford and Keller Grants and Scholarship Program and for their generous support.
