This holiday season we’re proud to release a special present to Hoosier birders! Whether just getting started as a new birder or enjoying birds as a traveler in the Hoosier state, the new Indiana Birding Trail highlights some of the best state parks, fish and wildlife areas, and other preserves to experience impressive wildlife and scenic beauty.
From Lake Michigan to the Ohio River, and everything in between, Indiana’s diverse habitats have supported the documentation of over 400 bird species. Visit the Indiana Birding Trail to explore the guide, watch for signs at your favorite sites in 2020, and pick up a printed IBT guide to explore.
More importantly, these sites represent YOU, and your dedication and passion for nature. Without you, these sites would not exist for the birds.
A special thanks to all involved, all of our content contributors, as well as the trail sponsors: Indiana Audubon, Indiana State Parks, Indiana Division of Fish and Wildlife, Indiana Dunes Tourism, Steuben County Tourism Bureau, South Bend-Elkhart Audubon Society, Visit South Bend, Amos Butler Audubon Society, Sassafras Audubon Society, Stockbridge Audubon Society, Robert Cooper Audubon Society, Wholesale Magnetic Signs and and the Friends of the Limberlost.
