Birding Crash Course at Pokagon State Park September 9

Indiana Audubon is holding a special beginning birding workshop in partnership with Pokagon State Park on September 9.  The workshop begins at 1pm and will be both inside and outside during the three-hour course.  The workshop will be led by Indiana Audubon Executive Director, Brad Bumgardner and takes place in the Pokagon State Park nature center auditorium.

The Indiana Birding: Crash Course is an introductory and interactive series being offered statewide to introduce nature enthusiasts to bird watching.  The workshop will include a look at birding opportunities around the state, a look at the history of birding, important bird areas in Indiana, purchasing and using binoculars, and an introduction to the common birds of Indiana.

Registration for the workshop is $20, with discounts available to Indiana Audubon Society members.  Snacks and refreshments will also be offered.  Registration is on the events page at www.indianaaudubon.org/events.
