The Indiana Audubon Society is seeking to fill its Resident Caretaker position at Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary, outside of Connersville.  The Resident Caretaker provides essential maintenance to the property and equipment to the Audubon sanctuary, as well as provides a positive user experience to all visitors.

Basic duties performed by the Resident Caretaker include mowing and trail maintenance, facilitating group and wedding use on the property, cleaning of property buildings and equipment, assisting with Audubon events, and environmental stewardship activities on the sanctuary, not limited to bird banding research and resource management of the natural areas on the property.

This position has been created in association with the Indiana Audubon Society (IAS) Mission Statement.  This position is an excellent opportunity for environmental advocates, teachers, birdwatchers, etc. who have a strong commitment to understanding the maintenance of a 700-acre wildlife habitat and being an active member of Indiana Audubon.

For a complete list of requirements, qualifications desired, and more info on the resident compensation, visit the Indiana Audubon website at www.indianaaudubon.org.  Applications will be taken until filled.  Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary is located at 3499 Bird Sanctuary Rd, Connersville.
