Become a Member and Support Indiana Birds
Founded in 1898, Indiana Audubon is the state’s oldest conservation organization and operates independently from the National Audubon Society. Membership with Indiana Audubon is not reciprocal with National Audubon or its local chapters. Joining us is the only way to support our statewide work.
By becoming a member, you directly sustain conservation, education, and research efforts across Indiana. At a time when bird populations are in steep decline, your support ensures that habitats are protected, communities are engaged, and Indiana’s birds have a future.
Membership Publication Options
Depending on your membership level, you have the following publication access:
- Student, Individual, and Family members receive digital access only to both The Cardinal and Indiana Audubon Quarterly (IAQ). Print copies of the IAQ are not included at these levels.
- Contributing, Cardinal Club, and Life members may opt to receive printed copies of the IAQ. The Cardinal is digital-only for all members.
Access to the IAQ requires a member login, while The Cardinal is now a digital‑only blog on our website. Past print issues of The Cardinal can be found here.

Cornell Lab’s Birds of the World
As a member of Indiana Audubon, you receive complimentary access to Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s Birds of the World (BOW) website, a $49 annual subscription included with your membership at no additional cost.
New members gain access to BOW on a quarterly basis (March, June, September, and December). If you need temporary access before your quarterly enrollment, simply email us.
