IYBC Field Guide Giveaway!
The Indiana Young Birders Club is excited to offer young birders/nature-lovers, teachers, scout leaders, and naturalists (that educate our youth in nature) a chance to receive a FREE Field Guides to Birds of North American or Nature of the Midwest!
We want these guides to be in the hands of our future conservation leaders and of the adults who encourage them!
To qualify for a guide, you must:
- Be a young birder or nature lover (18 years of age or younger). Or,
- Be an educator intending to use the guide to increase his/her students’ knowledge of birds and/or nature. Or,
- A parent or guardian whose child is enthusiastic about birds and/or nature and intends to use the guide to further encourage his/her children in nature exploration.
How to Apply for a Guide
- Complete all fields in the form below including a short letter or essay.
- The guidelines for the letter or essay are below:
- Ages (11 and up): submit a 150 – 300 word letter or essay stating why you want the guide, what you love about birds and/or nature, and how you will benefit from the guide.
- If you are an adult educator, please tell us how you will promote youth nature exploration with the guide.
- Age (under 11): 75 – 150 word essay about why you love birds and why you want the field guide.
- Ages (11 and up): submit a 150 – 300 word letter or essay stating why you want the guide, what you love about birds and/or nature, and how you will benefit from the guide.
- You may also attach a document with your short letter or essay if you prefer.
