Yellowwood State Forest Birding Field Trip
April 21 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm EDTFree – $10
Join Indiana Audubon for a special look at the spring warblers in this forested landscape of Brown County. Yellowwood State Forest is a critically important bird area for forest dependent nesting and migratory neo-tropic migrants. By this date we should have arriving warblers, including Hooded, Kentucky, Worm-eating, and Blue-winged. Many other songbirds should be present as well.
This special field trip will bird Yellowwood State Forest, but meet at the under-birded TC Steele State Historic Site at 9am on Saturday, April 21. We’ll spend the next couple hours seeking out an assortment of migrants.
This IAS field trip is being led by IAS birder Landon Neumann . The trip begins at 9:00 AM Eastern time. Participants must pre-register, as trips fill up fast. The trip is free for IAS members and $10 for non-IAS members. Total time about 3 hours. For questions, email Landon Neumann.
