Keynote: Urban Bird Conservation
Henry Griffin is a 17-year-old young birder from Chicago, IL who has a life list in excess of 930 species and who has pioneered his own charity organization “Oak Park Bird Walks” in the near-west suburb of Chicago. Henry has traveled to over fifteen countries, the bulk of which he visited on a world tour with his family during his eighth grade year, his final year of homeschooling. Since then, his locally-famous “Oak Park Bird Walk” series has been featured in multiple sources, including a front-page article of the Chicago Tribune in April 2015.
