Feathers & Fermentation: Early Spring Migrants

We’ve got another birdtastic and boozalicious afternoon planned for you this time! Join Wesley Homoya – a native Hoosier, avid birder, tour guide, and conservationist – as we explore nature and enjoy quality adult beverages.
Step 1: As always, start with a bang with an Ash & Elm Cider Co. tasting and tour and chance to buy cider for the roadtrip.
Step 2: Adventure time! We’ll do a birding hike at Browning Marsh, a Central Indiana Land Trust (CILTI) property that is a hidden gem right off 465, checking the wetland for waterfowl and surrounding shrubs and trees for early spring migrants.
Step 3: Pop into Wild Birds Unlimited for a brief intro to birdfeeding talk and special sale just for our attendees.
Step 4: Cross the street and enjoy a tour/tasting at Deviate Brewing, a local craft brewery specializing in intense and flavorful styles.
Step 5: Return to Ash & Elm to hang out, eat, drink more cider, and chat about birds until you’re ready to head home.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them (we will have a limited amount available for those without them). Whether you’ve never been birding before or consider yourself an expert, you are most welcome!
Bottled water, cups and coolers will be provided on the bus. Cost is $40 per person with a portion of each ticket sale benefiting the Indiana Audubon and CILTI.
