Join Wesley Homoya – a native Hoosier, avid birder, tour guide, and conservationist – as we explore nature and enjoy quality adult beverages on our feathers and fermentation tour. Wes’ travels and ornithological employments have allowed him to live and bird in places as varied as Maui, Brazil, the Galapagos, Hungary, SE Asia, and Ecuador. His passion for sharing knowledge is infectious.

We all enjoy a bird’s-eye view of our surroundings from time to time, and as society becomes more metropolitan and we become more intertwined within our digital devices, it is vital that we look beyond traditional scenery. Wesley will guide you through one of our best experiences we have to offer with a variety of different activities.

On the hour, between 1 – 4 pm, bird expert Wes will take people in groups of 20 to explore the nature preserve looking for fall migrants making their way south through our city, using the urban riverside oasis as a pit stop to refuel for their journey.

Indy Brew Bus on Tap will be onsite pouring local craft beer, canned cider and wine. Your ticket includes one drink. A cash bar will be available for additional drinks. ‘Tour only’ tickets do not include a drink. Feel free to bring snacks!

We hope you will stick around before or after your walking tour to continue birding, talking birds and conservation, and supporting Indiana craft breweries and cideries.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to CILTI (Central Indiana Land Trust) and the Indiana Audubon Society.
