Falling Springs Early Warblers Field Trip
April 20 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm EDTFree – $10
Join IAS for an exclusive field trip to the Falling Springs Bird Sanctuary property in Orange Co., owned by John and Karen Lindsey. This amazing property features deep ravines and gorges among shaded hardwood forest. It is home to a diversity of bird life, particularly in migration. For nature enthusiasts, the geologic, floral, and wildlife features are also impressive. The total tour time should take about 3 hours. Falling Springs is a great place to find nesting Kentucky and Worm-eating Warblers, and should time right with many migratory neo-tropic birds going north. Afterwards, the group will have a chance to drive to a nearby Prothonotary Warbler “colony” where multiple nesting birds can be found!
The trip begins at 8:00 AM at the Falling Springs Bird Sanctuary. Participants must pre-register, as trips fill up fast. The trip is free for IAS members and $10 for non-IAS members. For questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
