Bird Sounds ID Workshop

Join Indiana Audubon for an afternoon of all things bird sounds. This 201 level workshop is designed to introduce participants to the complex world of bird songs and calls. Half of the workshop will be spent indoors, while the other half will be outside, honing our skills on the park trails at Fort Harrison State Park.
Topics covered include the ins and outs of bird sound, why and how birds sing, how bird songs are learned, using mnemonics for memory recall, and using bird sounds in the field.
The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, March 23 from 2pm-5pm at the Fort Harrison State Park Visitor Center. The workshop will be taught by IAS executive director, Brad Bumgardner. Registration is required as space is limited, and can be done below. Registration fees are $10 for Indiana Audubon members, and $20 for the general public.
