Visit summer birding in the west part of the state this morning! We’ll be near our own Mary Gray Bird Sanctuary to take advantage of the great birding in the Whitewater valley. Join local avid birder and photographer, Jeremy Proeschel for a look at forest birds, and lakeside birding. Much of the full songbird song should still be in good force by this date.
Registered participants will meet at the Whitewater Memorial State Park Silver Creek Boat Ramp, entrance fees apply. Terrain will be easy to moderate. Beginners and advanced birders welcome. We’ll be out for 2-3 hours. The trip begins at 8:00 AM Eastern Time. Participants must pre-register, as trips fill up fast. The trip is free for IAS members and $10 for non-IAS members. Indiana State Parks have entrance fees, but annual passes are available for those that visit frequently.
The field trip will be led by Jeremy Proeschel. Registration is required below, as most IAS trips fill fast. For more information, email us.
