Big May Day Bird Count
Mark your calendar for the IAS Big May Day Bird Count, May 11, 2013!
Please join Indiana Audubon for the annual Big May Day Bird Count on May 11, 2013. The objective of the BMDBC is to count the number of birds of each species occurring in a participating county area from midnight to midnight on the second Saturday in May. This data snapshot provides a valuable scientific record of the bird populations occurring each year in Indiana. The results will be compiled, analyzed, and published in the Indiana Audubon Quarterly.
Please contact the count editor, Jay Bolden, at
jay_bolden@hotmail.com or at (317) 885-8030 to be put in contact with your county compiler, or to volunteer to be a county compiler if the county in which you wish to participate does not have one assigned.
The following may be downloaded and submitted back to the count editor upon completion of the count by May 31, 2013.
